Christmas Evaluation

In December, we went out to spread some Christmas spirit. Some of the pupils went to kindergartens to entertain the children. The rest of us went to the city, and started to hand out cookies to strangers.

At first, there weren’t many people in the streets, but as the day went, more and more people appeared.
People were a little careful, and we were often asked ‘What is the price for two cookies?’, ‘Why are you doing this?’ and ‘Am I supporting anything, if I take a cookie?’. They had a hard time believing that the cookies were free and we just wanted to spread some Christmas spirit.

Our only goal, was to get to the homeless at the Church. After we had been there, we just walked without a special plan, handing out cookies as we went.

Everybody seemed to cheer up a bit, when we offered them cookies, and it also made us very happy. We didn’t just offer cookies for the shoppers, but also to the construction workers. At one point, Anne Sofie and Julie went up to a police car, knocked at the window and offered the two officers cookies.

We also went to the train station, and handed out cookies there. Many of the travelers were happy to get a cookie, while they waited on their train or their bus.

Many people were happy, and when you do something nice for others, you’ll feel nice yourself. It might be the cheesiest line ever, but it’s true.
